Zunes are pretty nice.. though the ''Marketplace'' sucks, I have so much problems syncing music because the program won't ''Find'' it on my PC, and it has to find it by itself in order to sync it.. the old marketplace let me add it myself, so yeah.
Most people will say iPod naturally, since its like the #1omgwtfbbqpwnage Mp3, accordingly (Ugh). I have never liked them, or owned one, screens are way too small. Just a suggestion.

Or just use an external program to download music and add folders for it to add to.

Late bump, whoops. I'm looking for around 8GB, however willing to go bigger. I'm pondering at an iPod nano 8GB, and looking at the iTouch. I'll be using the videos every so often. I'm mainly using it for the gym in the morning, and when just chilling around.
I've heard some good things about Zune.
Also, lets say Tom wants to use Limewire to get music. He would have to drag/save the music then open it in iTunes? Also, is it true the iPod can get corrupted from using Limewire downloaded songs?
Thanks for the replies everyone.

I'd recommend the iRiver ones, they're pretty much indestructible, have a VERY high sound quality, live long on one single battery, good extra functions, and very easy to handle.
Absolutely love mine

I personally have this one:

It's so useful when climbing, or doing any sport really.

Well, for videos I'd personally say Zune, because it has the bigger screen and you can get it in like 30-60-80 Gigs, so you have tons of space. I wouldn't buy the cheaper 4-8 gig Zunes, just not worth it.
Plus I don't know how other Mp3's handle videos, but with the Zune you can stop a video anytime, turn the thing off, resync stuff, look at pics, play music, and come back later to the video and continue watching right where you left off, it always saves the video progress which is awesome. The market place works if you know how to use it right, I'm just a retard when it comes to this stuff so that's mostly where my problems with it are at, but none the less, I'd recommend the Zune for videos.

I just bought the 16gb version of this one...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16855228011
I got it yesterday, but so far i really like it. For being a tiny screen, its really easy to see, but i never watch movies anyway. ~60hr battery
Only thing i dont like is the touch screen is too sensitive, but the hold button fixes that

The Cowon players are pretty cheap and have uncontested sound quality.

I would recommend an iPod.
I've been using iTunes and iPods for nearly three years and I'm very happy with it. Ofc it's a little more expensive but it's totally worth it imho.

iPod touch (starts @ $299 or £199). Lacking in capacity but more than compensates for the buck with features like WiFi web browsing (yes, visit Guild Wars Guru on your iPod), large 3.5" multi-touch screen, YouTube and more. Designed to be a lifestyle product with features you usually don't find like the calendar, notes module, world clock and alarms, address book, and many more to come when Apple opens up to 3rd-party apps later this February.
Creative Zen V Plus (starts @ $60 for 1GB, dunno about the exact Euro price), if you're not willing to spend for the above. Comes with the typical features of an MP3 player like music, photos and video. It's even got an FM radio. Relatively low capacity and small 1.5" screen though. There are higher capacities like the 8GB models, but they're much more costly and there is no extra functionality or a bigger screen size for the added buck.
I haven't owned any other MP3 players of this generation, so I'll stop here.
Have a great year,
I Dont Do Coke

Forget about Mp3's and IpodTouch's
The truth is Iphones own u all, admit it
Iphones's got all in one, but u have to go to USA to buy them
They start at around $500 IMO
Iphone > Itouch + Mp3
Cheers and choose your decision wisely !

in the matter of iPods
iPod Touch -- Very cool to show off, pretty cool other applications, overall gets-the-job-done kinda of music player
iPod Classic -- This is the best IMO because I have LOTS of music, great for storing TONS of music, also cool to show off
in the matter of MP3's
Zune -- Good overall, cool to use with someone else with a Zune, but as said before complications may occur while syncing
Zen Vision M -- (what I have) Another gets-the-job-done music player, good amount of memory, plays all kind of media, very straightforward and easy to use, FM radio with a radio music recorder, only problem is that it is kinda big, other than that I am pleased with it
If you want to store a lot of music look into the iPod Classic. If you want close to 30 GB, Zunes and smaller memory iPods, like the iPod Video, are good. If you want close to 10 or lower GB try the Zen Vision Plus (cheaper) or the new iPod nano (quite expensive). Hope that helps.

I have to say iPod. Intuitive. Sleek. Great sound.
I have the new nano and the picture is beautiful and clear. Cost me a pretty penny, but it was worth it.
